Gorgeous!
Thank you
Must confess that I don’t know anything about Avedon ! Having said that, the boy in dungarees certainly looks like he’s from the American mid-west ! Some of the characters look as if they could tell a tale or two, I found a few of them quite intriguing.

Thought one of the ladies reminded me of a fortune teller, but then again I always have been attracted to “gypsies”
I once saw a lecture he took at The Royal Festival Hall back in the early 1990s. He was about seventy but had the body language of a man in his thirties. So much energy and enthusiasm for his work and for life…
Ah, Richard Avedon. Thankyou Google.
Mum and I thought they were all very good, very natural xx
our favourite was the Helen Mirrenlook alike
Thanks Lesley. The Helen Mirren lady was a joy to photograph, as were all of my sitters that day…
Hey great portraits and like the the bit of wind in the hair. Look forward to seeing more!
Thanks, nearly always windy at Dungeness…!
I plan to post all the portraits together in a later blog..
What a great project with beautiful results
Nice one Wendy! Glad it went well. The boy with freckles is my favourite.
Thanks Kirsty, and for your top tips.
All the pictures are quite delightful and so natural. Well done to the photographer
You have captured the essence of these real, honest, friendly and vulnerable people.
A very special accomplishment. Thank you
And thank you for your like.
Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated.
